—– English below —–

Stel ze via workspace@academieanderlecht.be (contactpersoon Ivo Bryon).

Workspace, general information

With ‘Workspace’, the Academy for Visual & Audiovisual Arts Anderlecht wants to open up the academy to the Brussels and international art scene. We want to support and facilitate artists in their artistic endeavour and creation. Workspace invites you to fully expand in the development of your research or art project.

The Academy offers spacious workshops, a wide range of expertise and guidance by a team of 45 lecturers active in the most diverse disciplines. The Academy aims to research and develop crossovers between these disciplines.

We are proud that almost everything can be achieved here. A selection of the possibilities: CNC milling, laser cutters, 3D printers, fusion and ceramic ovens (up to 1.8 m height), textile workshop with (digital) looms, modern forging, greenkey studio, photo studio and dark rooms, computer graphics room, video and audio infrastructure, wood workshop, metal workshop, graphics workshop, stained glass workshop, polychrome and paint expertise, as well as huge workspaces for drawing, painting and sculpture.

Our aim
To facilitate the preparation or execution of artistic projects, we hope in return to create pedagogical/artistic added value for our students and teachers. This can be done in the form of collaborations, lectures, workshops, demonstrations, performances, and/or exhibitions by the resident artist.

Application
There is no specific deadline for applications. Keep in mind that every application must be reviewed. Also consider the course of an academic year: from mid-May, all attention will be focused on preparing the jury period and the end-of-year exhibition.
